New Shipping Restrictions and Alerts by Country
AusFF provides up-to-date information on alerts that may impact shipping times to certain countries. You can also visit our country guides where you review items that are prohibited for import to your country.
Argentina
Effective: 01 January 2015
Argentinian customs requires a CUIT/CUIL to be provided on the Proforma Invoice of each shipment. If you are shipping to Argentina, please enter the CUIT/CUIL of the consignee under Shipping Preferences in the Tax ID field. If the consignee is not an Argentinian citizen, please enter their passport number under Shipping Preferences in the Tax ID field. Argentinian customs will not allow the import if this information is missing and your shipment may be returned at your expense. Read more here.
Completing Form 4550
Argentinian customs will provide you with a “number particular” or import number when your shipment reaches Argentina. You will then need to go to the AFIP website to complete the Online Form 4550/T-Compras a proveedores del exterior. Your carrier will deliver an “Aviso 3579” notification letter to the consignee that provides instructions on this new process. Please check with Argentinian customsto be sure the consignee has a CUIT/CUIL with an AFIP access level of 2 or greater.
Bahrain
Effective: 24 August 2015
Bahrain customs is introducing a new automated export system that may cause delays in processing shipments through customs. Bahrain customs requires a commercial registration for all commercial imports above 100 BHD (163 USD) and a national ID card for all personal imports above 300 BHD (790 USD). This is required on every shipment upon import.

Bahrain customs has prohibited the import of electronic cigarettes and e-shisha including e-juice and e-cigarette/e-shisha parts and accessories. Please do not ship these products to AusFF, as we cannot send them to Bahrain.
Bermuda
Effective: 01 January 2015
Save your merchant invoices. Bermuda customs requires a merchant invoice to be provided for each item in a shipment. The carrier or customs will reach out to obtain the invoices before delivery.
Effective: 03 March 2016
A physical address is required for all imported shipments to Bermuda. Please update your Address Book to include a physical address. Any shipments addressed to a PO Box will be held in customs until a physical address is provided.
Brazil
Effective: 01 January 2015
All shipments outbound to Brazil require a Tax ID/CUIT/CUIL number to be provided on the Proforma Invoice for Brazilian customs. US Citizens can provide their passport number in lieu of the Tax ID if applicable. You can add this number from your Shipping Preferences > Tax ID.

AusFF now offers DHL shipping to Brazil! We are excited to announce expanded AUSPOST service and at greatly reduced rates. You can select AUSPOST as your permanent Shipping Preference (change your settings here, OR select AUSPOST for a particular shipment when creating your ship request).
China
Effective: 01 July 2015
All shipments to China with a value over 1000 CNY ($153 USD) must be imported by a company. You will need to list your company name as the ship-to address. If you select “for personal use” on your shipping preferences, the shipment will be automatically returned to AusFF. Outbound and return shipping costs are not refundable if the shipment is returned due to China’s customs policies.
Guam
Effective: 20 August 2015
Lithium Ion Batteries can only be shipped via FedEx to Guam.
Iraq
Effective: 1 July 2016
Loose lithium batteries cannot be transported to Iraq. Please purchase lithium batteries only if they are installed in, or shipped with, a device they power.

While AusFF is able to transport dangerous goods via DHL to Iraq, DHL reports delivery delays for shipments containing these goods. If you are shipping any dangerous goods, please ship them separately from items with urgent delivery times. At this time, AusFF cannot guarantee delivery times for shipments that contain dangerous goods. Local customs and DHL may request a photo ID be provided by the consignee.

Ireland
Effective: 12 August 2015
Ireland customs now require all imports to document the seller name and address for each product. AusFF has updated your Proforma Invoice to include this information at no additional cost to you. Please make sure your packages arrive with an invoice or shipping label that includes the full seller name and address. Packages that arrive without this information will be placed on hold until you provide the needed information.
Italy
Effective: 01 January 2015
Dietary supplements and cosmetic goods are restricted for import by Italian customs. Please verify with your local customs office before shipping these products.
Japan
Effective: 07 July 2015
Japanese customs limits personal use items to 24 pieces per shipment. This includes such items as medication or body care but each carrier has separate restrictions for customs. Also, at this time slingshots are prohibited from import into Japan.
Kuwait
Effective: 28 December 2015
Kuwait customs has prohibited the import of electronic cigarettes and e-shisha including e-juice and e-cigarette/e-shisha parts and accessories. Please do not ship these products to AusFF, as we cannot ship them to Kuwait. We were able to ship e-shisha for a while, however, those shipments are now being returned to AusFF as well, due to being rejected by customs.
Libya
Effective: 18 April 2016
AusFF does not provide service to Libya at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Maldives
Effective: 25 August 2015
Our carrier partners have notified us that they are no longer able to ship loose lithium metal and lithium ion batteries to the Maldives. These types of batteries are commonly found in electronic devices. We can ship these batteries if they are installed in the device. If a battery arrives outside of the device, you can request that we install it in the device using the Special Request options for a package found in Ready to Send orAction Required when viewing the package details.
Mexico

Mexico customs restricts the import of specific commodities. E-cigarettes and their accessories cannot be imported. Shoes can be shipped via DHL but require an import permit which you can obtain through Mexico customs prior to purchase. Check with your local customs office to confirm that you can import your products prior to purchase. Do not request to have your shoes shipped FedEx or UPS to Mexico or they will be returned at your expense. Norway

Dietary Supplements are restricted from import into Norway. Please check with customs to confirm the import restrictions before purchasing dietary supplements.
Oman
Effective: 01 June 2015
Oman customs has prohibited the import of electronic cigarettes and e-shisha including e-juice and e-cigarette/e-shisha parts and accessories. Please do not ship these products to AusFF, as we cannot ship them to Oman.
Qatar
Effective: 01 September 2015
Qatar customs requires the QID for all imports. Please enter your QID under Shipping Preferences in the Tax ID field. This information will display on the invoice we create for customs.

Our carrier partners have notified us that we cannot transport Dangerous Goods to Qatar. Common Dangerous Goods items are nail polish, perfume and lithium batteries, which are commonly found in electronic devices. For example, a popular item called a Smart Balance Wheel contains a lithium battery that cannot be removed from the item; please do not ship this to us as we cannot ship to Qatar. We also can’t return it for you if it was purchased from outside of the U.S.

Russia

Due to limitations set by the Russian Customs Authority, some couriers will no longer accept shipments to Russia. AusFF offers shipping via Auspost to Russia. We have several AusPost shipping options and at greatly reduced rates. Please select your preferred AUSPOST method under Shipping Preferences. Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has announced that shipments by an individual that require SFDA approval for import are limited to one per month, with a total weight of 15kg (33 lbs) or less. SFDA regulates cosmetics, food items and over-the-counter medications. Shipments imported by a business are not subject to this policy. Please contact your local customs office for updates on this recent policy change.
Saudi Arabia customs requires a completed permit for all items considered to be cosmetics, non-prescription medicines or food. Please complete this form and email it to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority at [email protected] if they require it. You can also call or email for assistance with SFDA documents at 01 2759222 or [email protected].

Effective immediately, dutiable shipments imported into Saudi Arabia require Importer of Record (IOR) identification to be presented at the time of customs clearance based on the following criteria:
- All imports to individuals with value of 1000 USD or above require a copy of the Saudi National ID or IQAMA (valid)
- All imports to commercial entities with value of 300 USD or above require a copy of the Commercial Registration (active and valid)
Import clearance and delivery will be delayed until the necessary documents are provided. For imports through DHL, please submit the necessary information via email to [email protected] or by fax to +966 (13) 8826732. For imports through FedEx, please contact your local FedEx station and submit the Letter of Authorization form. This is a one-time requirement. Once you have submitted the necessary information, future imports will be covered.

Spain

Togo
Effective: 01 March 2015
Togo customs has prohibited the import of batteries, film, knives (excluding cutlery) and liquor. Please do not ship these products to AusFF.
Turkey
Effective: 19 December 2011
Please be advised that we have seen an increase in the return or confiscation of shipments that contain cosmetics, cellphones or supplements. We do not recommend that you purchase or attempt to ship these particular commodities to Turkey.

Shipments with a total value of US$75 or more require the Citizenship Number of the person importing the goods appears on the proforma invoice. If you are importing on behalf of your business, please provide the company’s VAT number. If you are a foreign citizen to Turkey, and are importing to Turkey, please provide your passport number. You can enter this number under Shipping Preferences > TAX ID in your AusFF account.
Ukraine

Toy guns and all replica guns are prohibited for import into the United Kingdom. Also, all food items will require specific Import Permits. Please contact your local customs office prior to purchasing food items for additional information.
Vanuatu

AusFF provides shipping via FedEx to Vanuatu.
Venezuela
Effective: 29 January 2015
AusFF offers shipping to Venezuela via DHL and UPS. These carriers can assist you with transporting up to $2,000 USD worth of merchandise in each shipment. Venezuelan customs requires you to obtain an import license or permit when importing certain items. You can obtain the proper license or permit through your local customs office.
Yemen
Effective: 12 August 2015
DHL has resumed service and shipping to Yemen and is estimating 10 business days for delivery, but this is not guaranteed. Maximum weight per piece is 30kg (67 lbs.) and maximum size is 45cm x 43cm x 33cm (18″ x 17″ x 13″) when shipping to Yemen. Shipments to Yemen via DHL are being routed through Dubai and then trucked to Yemen. There will be no updated scans during truck transit. We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information from our carriers.
Zimbabwe
Effective: 15 September 2015
The following items are prohibited to be shipped into Zimbabwe per customs regulations: food and agriculture, building and civil engineering, timber and timber products, petroleum and fuel, packaging materials, electrical/electronic appliances, body care, automotive and transportation items, clothing and textiles, engineering equipment, mechanical appliances and toys. Pre-shipment inspection will be required for specific commodities. AusFF will contact you if additional information is required.
